Why Get Involved?

National Bike Month is more than just a series of events—it's a movement.

Events are the most accessible form of advocacy and community engagement. Bike-friendly events, such as National Bike Month celebrations, have been shown to lead to policy and environmental changes within communities.

By participating in National Bike Month, you're displaying your support for bike-friendly policies and infrastructure and the cultivation of a Nebraskan cycling community.

Events provide you with a starting point for gathering information, identifying barriers, and areas of focus. Below is a series of worksheets to help you audit your community, workplace, or campus, and make plans for events that can be the stepping stone for sustainable change.

Let's Ride Together!

This National Bike Month, let's come together as a community to celebrate the joy of biking, the power of active transportation, and the countless benefits it brings to our lives. Whether commuting to work, exploring your city, or enjoying a leisurely ride with friends, every pedal stroke counts. Grab your helmet, hop on your bike, and let's make May the best National Bike Month yet!
