Nebraska's Civic Database

Transforming Nebraska's Active Transportation Landscape

Bike Walk Nebraska's 'Aunt Dottie' [beta version] interactive civic database empowers Nebraskans to advance their community's active transportation by facilitating engagement and connection with public officials, ordinances, laws, and resources.

The database features:

  • Access to your city and state elected and employed officials
  • A direct path to Nebraska state law and its cities’ ordinances
  • State-defined bicycle trails
  • City-specified hike and bike trails

We recommend using 'Aunt Dottie' on a laptop or desktop computer.

Be an advocate for your community.

Aunt Dottie can be used as a tool for our toolkit, “Let’s R.O.L.L.,” or “Let’s Review Our Local Laws.”

Policy provides the most impactful change when it comes to safe and accessible biking and walking. “Let’s R.O.L.L” is designed to inspire grassroots advocacy, encouraging community members to champion safer, more accessible transportation laws, ordinances, and infrastructure.

There may be missing ‘dots’ or information in your community if the service is not accessible, not updated, or does not exist. This is a living map after all; it is made to constantly be updated and evolve.
