The Bike Walk Nebraska Summit is a one-day event bringing stakeholders from various sectors together to discuss and advance active transportation in Nebraska. With in-depth workshops and discussions, the summit focuses on high-priority items for all sectors involved in biking and walking.
Participants will collaborate to identify practical solutions, share best practices, and inspire action for a more walkable, bike-friendly Nebraska.

Part One: You Want to Build a Trail, Now What?
The first session of an all-day workshop on trail building. Workshop your trail projects alongside Jason Buss, President of Nebraska Trails Foundation, to navigate the process of building a trail in Nebraska. He'll help you identify ways to avoid common mistakes, move the project along, and secure funding. Submit your trail projects ahead of time for personalized recommendations and collaboration with other trail builders.

Cultivating a Cycling Community
Policy and infrastructure are crucial in supporting both recreational and transportation cycling. Work alongside Cait Dumas-Hein, co-founder of Grounded Nebraska and associate director of Bike Walk Nebraska, to identify the intersectional and collaborative points to support sustainable change and growth within your cycling community through events and programs.

The Goldenride Bikefest Kick-Off Party: 4:00 - 8:00 PM
Stick around for a night of celebration and good food as the summit wraps up and Goldenride Bikefest riders arrive for a two-day adventure. Want to join them? All summit registrants get a discount to Goldenride. Enjoy live music by The Riverhawks Combo and a meal & drink ticket at Union Plaza/Jayne Snyder Trails Center in Lincoln.

Stay & Ride Goldenride Bikefest
September 8th - 10th
Goldenride, Bike Walk Nebraska's signature fundraising event, takes cyclists of all skill levels on a cycling adventure from Lincoln to Beatrice and back again.
The two-day, fully supported event takes riders along a 44-mile route on the Homestead and Jamaican North Trails and features live music, games, activities, craft beer, delicious food, and lifetime memories.
Attend the Bike Walk Nebraska Summit, and spend the weekend experiencing some of the best infrastructure Nebraska offers, immersed in the cycling community and scenery.
Summit attendees get a discounted registration to Goldenride Bikefest.
